Number of paper publications in international journals in the field of neuroscience by BLSC researchers has been highly evaluated.
Evaluation for prioritized funding supports to the national universities in Japan for FS 2019 was conducted by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan) based on the KPI (Key Performance Indicators) of the major fields. In the strategy entitled as “Creation of revolutionary and interdisciplinary fields combining featured research areas” among three strategies of UEC, the KPI of “Number of paper publications in international journals in the field of neuroscience by the BLSC researchers” has earned the highest rank of “a”, contributing for UEC to be ranked at the second place among 15 national universities.

Best Poster Award at Near-Infrared Forum
Prof. Yukio Yamada in cooperation with a group of Muroran Institute of Technology etc. received Best Poster Award for presentation at the 34th Near-Infrared Forum held in Sapporo city on November 22, 2018.
